Mary Illes’s Broadway credits include, The Phantom of the Opera, The Music Man, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Steel Pier and She Loves Me. She played Dona Lucia D’Alvadorez in Goodspeed’s Where’s Charley?, and Mrs. Erlynne in Irish Repertory Theater’s After the Ball.
She has sung with the New Haven Symphony with conductor Gerald Steichen, with members of the Vienna Philharmonic twice at Innsbruck’s Summer Music Festival appearing with Thomas Hampson, and with the All American College Orchestra at Walt Disney World.
She has a private voice studio in New York, working with teenagers through professional adults, focusing on learning strong, healthy, positive technique. Her approach is based in classic time tested techniques emphasizing the voice/body connection.
