Keeley Walsh has been a working Pilates practitioner for over 6 years in New York spanning from group reformer classes and working in a physical therapy office to teaching children’s dance and Pilates mat classes. She draws from her vast knowledge and experience as a modern dancer, athlete and someone with scoliosis and a spinal defect, to inform, shape and inspire her classes. Walsh’s classes benefit from her commitment to workshops and certifications with New York’s most innovative practitioners including: Trey McEntire, Mi Valentin, Eric Franklin, Lolita San Miguel, a first generation Pilates elder; and Irene Dowd, who teaches kinesthetic anatomy at Julliard and NYU Tisch, are integrated into her broad repertoire and have helped influence every session to combine progressive techniques and modifications to the traditional Pilates method. Walsh holds a B.A in dance and journalism from the University of Iowa.
