While at Spelman College studying drama with a concentration in dance Jazmine performed with the Spelman Dance Theatre and graduated Cum Laude in 2010. In 2013 she earned an MFA in acting from the University of Florida (UF) where she is a founding producer and director of The Black History Variety Show. In 2013 she completed her Masters of Fine Arts degree while serving as a teaching intern at the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls (OWLAG) in South Africa. While at OWLAG Jazmine was a dance and acting instructor, mentor and assistant director/choreographer for the OWLAG Dance Company. She was honored with the opportunity to conceive a dance piece entitled “Catherine” for their repertory. In 2013 Jazmine became a co-choreographer for The Experimental Dance Group, a pre-professional children’s dance company. She is the founding director and choreographer of the Harlem Children’s Zone Lincoln Community Center Dance Company. In addition to the company, Jazmine co-facilitates “Pretty Me,” an enrichment program dedicated to helping girls realize their potential and true value in society.
