Earl Mosley

Fredrick Earl Mosley, Born in Raleigh, NC and is one of New York’s respected choreographers and teachers. He was honored as the 2005 teacher of the year by Dance Teacher Magazine! Mosley has received numerous awards from the National Endowment of the Arts and the Connecticut Commission of the Arts. He just received the Distinguished Achievement in the Arts Award from the Connecticut Dance Alliance 2012. He is founder and director of both Diversity of Dance Inc., and Earl Mosley’s Institute of the Arts; which is celebrating its eight season as one of the nation’s leading new summer intensives serving 140 students annually and recognized as a serious summer program by Dance Magazine.

He has had works presented at such venues as the Joyce Theater, Lincoln Center Out-of-Doors, City Center (NYC), Aaron Davis Hall, Whitney Museum, The Ailey School, and Ballet Hispanico School. His teaching and choreographic talents have taken him to such noted institutions as the Alvin Ailey Fordham/BFA Program, Ohio University, Virginia Commonwealth University, Wesleyan University, Montclair State University, Long Island University(Brooklyn Campus), Interlochen Arts Academy, Tokyo School of Music, Bat-Door Studios, Israel, University of Oklahoma, S.U.N.Y. Purchase College, to name a few. He is currently on faculty at the Ailey School, Long Island University, and Education Center of the Arts. He has set works on such companies as the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, American Ballet Theater Studio Company, Dallas Black Dance Theater, Ailey II, Florida Dance Theater, Edge Works Dance. He is very proud to have just launched his new endeavor; Life Dance Company- Dance for a Cancer-Free World.
