Alison Mixon’s passion for dance began as a scholarship student at the School of Cleveland San Jose Ballet, School of American Ballet, Chautauqua Institution, and Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet School. In 1999, She moved to New York City to study at The Juilliard School and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2003. Since graduation, Alison has performed for dance, opera, musical theater, and entertainment companies nationwide. She just finished performing in Josephine, an exciting new musical about Josephine Baker. Alison has performed for Paramount Pictures, NBC/Universal, Disneyland Entertainment, The Metropolitan Opera, Los Angeles Opera, Washington National Opera, Dodgers Theatrical, Music Circus, Pasadena Playhouse, and Theater League. In addition to performing, Alison enjoys teaching dance to students of all ages. Her teaching credits include: Alvin Ailey’s Teen Extension, Arts in Education & AileyCamp, The Joffrey School: Jazz and Contemporary Program, Harlem School of the Arts, Stage Coach Theatre Arts Schools and several studios in the tri-state area.
